On Friday, February 7th, Firefly’s I-Smile program and the following Council Bluffs dentist offices team up for this important free dental treatment day: BlueJay Dental, Broadway Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, My Pediatric Dentist—Bayliss Park, Valley View Dental, and Omni Dental-Council Bluffs. Children are pre-selected for the event based on need; overwhelmingly the number one barrier selected families cited as a need was that they were unable to find a provider that accepts Iowa Medicaid, following by not having insurance coverage or having transportation barriers. Children receive a free screening, preventative treatment, and care during Give Kids a Smile. Any questions can be directed to Liz Addison, I-Smile Coordinator at Firefly at 402.321.5064.
